Interview with a Reader #1

Interview with a Reader is a new segment where I interview a reader who has graciously allowed me to post their responses in my blog. It is my hope and intent to use this segment to gather information on what people are reading, the type of books that interest them as well as what they find appealing and not so appealing in books.

Interview with a Reader #1

Christina – Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

1. How often do you read and how long does it take you to get through a book?

I read every night. It usually takes me a week to get through a book, although if I’m intrigued, I can finish in one night.

2. What type (genre) of books to you enjoy most?

I prefer true crime, autobiographies, and anything WWII and Vietnam war related.

3. What characteristics of a book do you find most appealing?

Good description is what captures my attention most.

4. What characteristics of a book do you find most unappealing?

Bad grammar gets to me, but I’m also turned off by too much detail. It gets a bit boring if things are gone into way too much.

5. Which book could you read over and over again? Why?

I could read The Outsiders over and over! I love how you see the innocence of some and how others had to grow up too fast, and what happens when you put the two together. It’s an amazing book.

Thank you Christina, for taking the time to answer my questions. It is appreciated! I am always looking for new readers to interview. If you are interested, have an extra ten minutes to answer five questions, I want to talk to you. Email me at sastevens72@ymail.com.
